Module 2
Level 5 – Artificial Intelligence
This module explores how AI technologies are used in both cyber defense and attack scenarios. Learners study the application of machine learning in anomaly detection, threat prediction, and automated response systems. The module also covers ethical considerations and future trends in AI-driven cyber security. Students will critically evaluate the impact of AI tools on digital protection strategies.
Module 3
Level 5 – Databases
Students examine database systems with a focus on security, integrity, and access control. Topics include SQL injection, encryption, user authentication, and regulatory compliance. Learners will design and evaluate secure database structures, gaining the ability to identify and prevent database-specific cyber threats. Real-world case examples are used to support application of theory to practice.
Module 4
Level 5 – Digital Forensics
This module introduces the tools and techniques used in investigating cybercrimes and recovering digital evidence. Learners will understand forensic methodologies, data acquisition, chain of custody, and evidence reporting. By completing simulated investigations, students will develop practical skills in analyzing digital trails and supporting legal processes. Emphasis is placed on accuracy, objectivity, and professional ethics.
Module 5
Level 5 – Ethical Hacking
Students learn to ethically simulate cyber-attacks in order to test organizational defenses. The module includes network scanning, social engineering, vulnerability exploitation, and password cracking. Learners gain proficiency in using ethical hacking tools and interpreting penetration results. It reinforces a strong understanding of legal frameworks and responsible hacking practices.
Module 6
Level 5 – Malware Analysis
This module teaches the techniques for identifying, dissecting, and understanding malicious software. Students explore static and dynamic analysis methods to assess malware behavior and its impact on systems. Learners will use real malware samples in controlled environments to build skills in detection and containment. The module also covers reverse engineering and incident response procedures.
Module 7
Level 5 – Security Testing
Learners develop the ability to plan and execute security assessments using various testing tools and techniques.
